I get asked so many questions about addressing envelopes from my clients. One question is: What is the best way to address your guest envelopes?
Here is my answer from most budget friendly to most luxurious.
1. Hand write them yourself. If you have beautiful handwriting or pretty neat or just need to save some money, this is the way to go! Your guests will tell you took the time to write their address. Just remember to order extra envelopes for mistakes and budget in lots of time! ?
2. Printed Labels – This is a big no! It is super tacky and feels like getting a bill to your guests versus being invited to your celebration of love. ?
3. Order digital calligraphy with your wedding invitation order. This is the example in the photo and looks so beautiful! I use the same digital calligraphy and fonts from your Wedding Invitation or Save the Date. I have also gone in a different direction when clients ask. Digital Calligraphy is the perfect blend of budget and time. Less stress on your end and you get to see a digital proof of every envelope before print them for you! ?
4. Hire a calligrapher. Calligraphy is an art! Make sure to hire one who you love their style! Ask your calligrapher how far in advance they need your guest list and envelopes to complete your order. I can even send them your envelopes early if needed. ??
