I was a 4th grade teacher on maternity leave with my first child – Brooke. I planned on heading back into the classroom after Christmas Break. Holding this little bundle of joy, my heart grew and I knew I couldn’t go back to teaching. I did not want to be away from the house from 5:30 am to 5pm every day. When would I sleep? Grade papers? Create creative lessons? And most importantly, spend time with my daughter and husband?

Over coffee, while holding my little girl in my arms, my husband and I made a plan for our little family. Taking my hobby of designing wedding invitations for friends and family over the past five years and turning it into a successful business. This business would give me the freedom to be home with my daughter, create beautiful custom pieces of work for loving couples, and get more sleep than I would while teaching, all while meeting my financial responsibility for our family.
From that day, we started planning Emery Ann Design and how it would change our lives for the better! The past two years I have worked to create a style for Emery Ann Design, not just creating any wedding invitations, but creating beautiful, classic wedding invitations for couples who want to show off their personality.
